st patty's day

For St. Patty's Day we went to RT O'Sullivan's with Sharon, Ryan, Shannon, Todd and Shelley.  It was freezing ... but so much fun!!

Shell, Sharon, me and Shannon ... love these ladies!!

When we got home, Whitney and Addi had made us this sign:

salt river field

We went to our first Spring Training game of the 2012 season!  We met Nate and Dana (Heath's cousins) at Salt River Field and watched our Dback!!  It's a beautiful field and the grass area is HUGE!  I'm in love!!  I'm so excited to take the kids so they can enjoy it too!

nkf {national kidney foundation}

We went to the kick off dinner for the Kidney Foundation ... getting ready for our walk on Sunday, April 1.  Logan won an autographed basketball, signed by GRANT HILL!!!!

It was comforting to be around other families who have gone through similar scarey situations as we have, with Addi.  It also made me very thankful for the problems we DID have because it could definitely be a lot worse!  So glad my baby girl is still here on Earth with us!

field day

The kids had Field Day on March 23.  It was sooo fun to watch them participate!  It was fun seeing them interact with their new friends, too!  They seem so happy at Challenger!  They made us proud, that's for sure!!  Heath was able to come for the entire event.  It's so cool having such a supportive and involved hubby!

Addi was telling Heath everything we needed to remember to bring.  Heath told her it would be best for her to make a list, so we don't forget anything.  This was her list.  As I was packing the morning of, getting everything ready, I told her to grab a "sweat towel" because it's the only thing I hadn't packed.  She said, "I played you sooo good!  That was a total joke and you fell for it!"

annual "squad" cabin trip ::: greer, az

Every year, Heath and his squad mates would make an annual guys trip up to the mountains.  Two years ago, they started inviting us gals!  Last year, the kids were able to come with us, too.  They had a blast.  We are seriously so lucky to have the best friends ever!  We are all more like family ... really.

Here's a few of my faves ...

It's 29-degrees out and the kids HAD to go fishing!  It was so cold and windy.  It was miserable, but Heath helped the kids put the bait on their hooks (is this even the right description?).  I am soo not an out-doorsy kind of gal!   They didn't have any luck.  Addi was bummed.  She was really looking forward to catching and scaling a fish for dinner.  What??!!  Who's child is this??

Heath's birthday was the Sunday of our trip so we had to make it special!  While he went to get Scott and Linz, we all decorated with balloons and wrote messages on them (our fave thing about Heath, funny stories, etc) and made his fave cupcakes.  I think it was a success!

We took the kids boarding and skiing at Sunrise.  Me and Heath took a picture where he proposed to me one year earlier ... under the Lodge on top of the highest mountain.  He played the same "Marry Me" song, too.  Got down on one knee, just the like first time.  It was sooo darn sweet!

Logan DJ'ing .. these guys loved Logan!

our crew!

When we got back from boarding, we came back to a present on the door step ... a bear had eaten some of our pizza that we had left outside!  Guess he/she didn't really like it because there was just a bite taken!
